Qualtex gets patent approval, certification for WeatherMaster ATM - 4/18/2003

CHICAGO -- Qualtex Corporation says that a patent has been approved on the design of its WeatherMaster ATM (US D472, 362 S), a through-the-wall machine it introduced earlier this year.
The WeatherMaster is the second generation of the company's MBC1031 ATM. Like that machine, it has a rear screen and keypad for accessing management functions and a rear slide-out tray for the dispenser and printer.
Metavante Corporation, a transaction processor wholly owned by Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI), recently certified the WeatherMaster. The unit has also been certified by several other processors, including Concord EFS and Genpass Technologies.
